Embroidery ✖ Guizhou Miao Embroidery Artisans (Ongoing)

During the end of 2025, YIQI travelled to Guizhou Province to learn about the rich minority group culture and source local craft. During our visit to a traditional Miao village undisturbed by tourists, we learnt the beautiful craft of Miao embroidery. Miao embroidery is an important intangible cultural heritage of the minority group of Miao people residing in 8 provinces, including Guizhou Province. Miao embroidery is known for its vivid colour, intricate nature-inspired patterns and 3D effect. In traditional Miao villages, girls were taught the embroidery technique by their mothers.
